Deloitte Spinathon raises £1343 for Disability Sports NI Despite typical Northern Irish weather, the inuagural event went down a storm!

22 teams and 13 individuals braved torrential rain to make the first Deloitte Spinathon a huge success.

 

A total of 1001 kilometers was cycled on the day – a massive achievement given the elements were totally against us that day and the competitive spirit amongst teams was well and truly alive!

 

In total,£1343 was raised for Disability Sport Northern Ireland as part of Alasdair Kilpatrick’s ongoing fundraising for Ride Across Britain  

Thank-you to all those who took part, those who came down to support us and those who donated.

Thanks also to the support provided by Kathy Kenny throughout the planning stages and on the day, and to Angela Hodkinson and Margaret Lemon for helping organize the celebration event afterwards – everyone definitely needed and deserved a drink after!

A special mention has to go to Pure Gym for lending us the eight spin bikes for the Team Challenge, to Chain Reaction for lending us the bike for the Individual Challenge and donating the city bike, and to all the local businesses who donated prizes for the raffle.
