In Memory Giving
You can help make access to disability sport your lasting legacy with In-Memory Giving.
Disability Sport NI is truly grateful for all support and donations.
If In Memory Giving is something that you are considering, please do not hesitate to contact us for any support or advice.
In-Lieu of Flowers Donations
People often choose to ask for donations in lieu of flowers to honour the memory of their loved ones through supporting a good cause. The funeral director will often facilitate this for you but please do not hesitate to contact us if this is something that you are considering doing for Disability Sport NI.
Tribute Funds
Setting up a Tribute Fund to commemorate and celebrate the memory of a loved one can be a special and poignant way to support the work of Disability Sport NI.
You can create an in memory page on JustGiving, where you can pay tribute to your loved one, explaining why you’re raising money in their memory. Your friends and family can give directly to your page easily, safely and securely.
If you would like to speak with someone at Disability Sport NI about potentially leaving an In Memory Gift please contact our Communications and Engagement Officer on aherron@dsni.co.uk
Legacy Donations
There are generally three main types of gift that people leave to charities in their will which is also known as a legacy donation.
We would be honoured if you pledged to support Disability Sport NI through a gift in your will and very grateful if you were to let us know so that we can stay in touch with you and send regular updates about our work (subject to your approval).
If you would like to consider making a Legacy Donation, please contact your solicitor to ensure that you receive accurate advice.
Specific Bequest
This is when you choose to leave a specific item such as a painting, jewellery or even your home.
Pecuniary Bequest
This is when you leave a specific sum of money to a person, organisation or charity. Please remember that inflation may impact on the amount the beneficiary may actually receive.
Residual Bequest
This is when you choose to leave whatever is left over once all of your other bequests have been made and all the costs met. A Residual Bequest may be least affected by inflation.
