The Disability Sport NI Active Clubs Programme, funded by The Big Lottery Fund through Sport NI supports the Musgrave Spinal Unit by delivering weekly sports sessions to inpatients.

Disability Sport NI has supported Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy teams working with patients who have spinal injuries in Musgrave Park Hospital to set up a multi-sport club. Members of the club have experienced a range of Paralympic sports to encourage regular participation in a local club when they return home. This has proven successful with participants joining local clubs in sports including wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball & angling’.
