An inclusive outdoor experience for people to access the walking and mountain bike trails at Gosford Forest Park using four wheeled, electric all terrain buggies.

This exciting initiative is delivered by Disability Sport NI with support from Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council and provides an inclusive outdoor recreation opportunity for disabled people, non-disabled and those with long term health conditions to get out into the heart of a beautiful woodland and access Gosford Forest Park’s walking and mountain bike trails.

The project is the first of its kind in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the Terrain Hopper and Quadrix all-terrain buggies that are suitable for people with a disability, long term health condition or restricted mobility to access off-road terrains. We also have joystick options of both the Quadrix & Terrainhoppers, which may prove more suitable for anyone with reduced hand/arm function. We also welcome non-disabled people to try the experience especially alongside friends and family members with a disability.

Where: Gosford Forest Park (6 miles from the City of Armagh) Enter into the Forest Park off the A28 Markethill Rd, drive up past the main car pk, turn right down the hill, you should see the ‘All Out Trekking’ sign on your left hand side, take a left down the fenced lane way into the car pk at the All Out Trekking project base.

Restrictions: Lower age limit is 12 years of age and all  participants must be at least 5ft tall.

In addition to this there is a 110KG/17 Stone weight limit on the Quadrix and a 160KG/25 Stone weight limit on the Terrain Hopper.

What does a session consist of?: Arrival at AOT, Welcome by AOT Guide, Complete documentation, Introduction to buggies (either TerrainHopper for Walking Trails or Quadrix for MTB Trails), Equipment familiarisation, Clothing check (safety helmets, glasses & gloves supplied), Courtyard session, Field Skill Drills, Trails (if competency levels are suitable), return to AOT store. A standard session will last 1hours 30mins.

For safety/insurance reasons, all sessions are led by an experienced All Out Trekking Guide and we ask that if you require assistance in transferring that you bring a family member/carer with you who is able to support you with this.

All Out Trekking is suitable for families as well as small groups, however it is important to speak with us early if you are considering booking a session to ensure that the activity is suitable for your party.
