Fundraising can be a great opportunity to take part in something challenging or fun whilst raising valuable funds for the charity and profiling Disability Sport in Northern Ireland
There are many fundraising events organised by others that you could take part in from Marathons or Treks to other sporting challenges or social fundraisers. Check out details of some of these in our What’s On section of the website.
If you don’t see a fundraising event or sporting challenge that you like, why not organise your own fundraiser ‘in aid of’ Disability Sport NI. This could be anything from a 5-a-side tournament to a coffee morning or cake sale. Don’t forget to put the ‘fun’ into your fundraising. We can help promote your fundraising efforts and provide resources to help you do so.
Schools & Groups Fundraising
We work with a large number of children and young people and are delighted that many local schools choose to raise funds to support us. It is great to see children supporting other children take part in the sports that they themselves enjoy.
Schools can support us in a number of ways including a sponsored non-uniform day, a jumble sale, a sponsored silence or sports quiz day. Schools may also choose Disability Sport NI as their official charity to support for a whole year. If your school is considering this please contact us to learn more about our Schools Fundraising Partnership scheme.
Justgiving.com offers a platform for online donations to Disability Sport NI. You can make a donation to our page, or set up an online sponsorship page for yourself to allow friends, family and colleagues to support your fundraising.
We have a text giving platform through Just Giving that allows you to donate straight from your phone. Using the details below you can send a donation to us and every penny of your donation will be given directly to Disability Sport NI. It is free to use on any network so you will only be charged for the amount of your donation.
Text DSNI22 £3 / £5 / £10 to 70070
(e.g. if you text DSNI22 £5 to 70070 you are giving a donation of £5 to us).
Gift Aid It
Disability Sport NI can also receive an extra 25% from each donation we receive from an individual through the Gift Aid scheme. If you are a UK Tax payer, we claim 25% of the value of your donation from HMRC at no cost to you which makes your generosity go even further.
This means for example, if you are a UK tax payer and you give us a donation of £10, we can claim an additional £2.50 from HMRC at no cost to you, making your donation worth £12.50.
Please complete the Gift Aid scheme details when promoted to do so at Justgiving or when you make a text donation. Alternatively contact our office and we will help you to Gift Aid any offline donations.
