Design & Management Guidelines

Disability Sport NI has produced a series of Design & Management Guidelines to help ensure that new or refurbished sports facilities, ranging in scale from pavilion buildings to sports stadia, are designed and managed to optimum levels of good practice in terms of access for people with disabilities.

Please note that our Accessible Sports Facilities Design and Management Guidelines (Guides 1 and 2) are currently being reviewed and updated.

The Design and Management Guidelines have been developed with the support of the Inclusive Sports Facility Advisory Group which was established and facilitated by Disability Sport NI.  Membership of the group is made up of representatives of the following key disability organisations:
