Disability Sport NI’s Club Person of the Year Award is a fantastic opportunity for clubs to recognise and celebrate individuals who have been instrumental in running and developing your club. Nominations will be open to all Boccia Clubs and Wheelchair Basketball Clubs in Northern Ireland and will recognise a person who has volunteered their time and worked tirelessly to ensure that their club is safe and sustainable, providing people with physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in your club between April 2024 and March 2025.

The Official of the Year Award will celebrate the outstanding contribution that officials have made to the development of Boccia and Wheelchair Basketball in Northern Ireland this past year. This award highlights the hard work and dedication of our referee’s, timers and table officials who have supported the Disability Sport NI Boccia Competitions and the Northern Ireland Wheelchair Basketball League between April 2024 and March 2025. We welcome you to nominate a person who has performed their duties impeccably and worked tirelessly to ensure that people with physical disabilities have access to competitive opportunities locally. 

The winner’s will be announced at Disability Sport NI’s AGM on Tuesday 30th September 2025 at the Dunsilly Hotel, Antrim. We would ask applicants to ensure that either the person nominated or representative is available to attend the AGM and receive the award.

Nominations can be made by club officials, coaches, parents or club members by completing the form below. Completed nomination forms should be submitted before 5pm on Friday 5th September 2025 to the following:
