Disability Sport NI would like to congratulate the two Northern Ireland athletes who have been selected to represent Boccia UK at the Rio de Janeiro 2022 World Boccia Cup from 25th April – 3rd May 2022.

Claire Taggart will compete in the BC2 Female Individual and the BC1/2 Team events.  Claire is an experienced member of the squad, having competed at 2 Paralympic Games and is going into the 2022 competition season after finishing 2021 with a European silver medal in the BC2 Female Individual event.

Robyn McBride, alongside her father and ramp operator, David McBride, will make her international debut in the BC3 Female Individual and the BC3 Pairs events.  Robyn has been involved in the NI Pathway Squad since 2018 and was selected after a number of good performances at Northern Ireland and UK competitions.
